Dear Ellen,
It is possible that his parents married interstate or overseas.
A real outside chance is that there is something in one of the Probate
Packets for the other children.
If you do not know the exact date of death, try the NSW Probate Index.
That will give date and place of residence, which gives information to
search newspapers, probably the Sydney Morning Herald.
Probate Packets are at State Records KINGSWOOD. See www.records.nsw.gov.au
and look for Archives in Brief 84 (a Help Sheet)
Some of the Probate Packets are full of informtion in Affidavits, but others
are just the bare papres with the Last Will and Testament and papers
transferring asssets from the deceased to the beneficiary.
John appears to have died aged 23, and Veronica was probably a smilar age.
Did she marry again?
Have you looked for her on www.ryersonindex.org ? If she has died, maiden
names are sometimes in the Death Notice, and indexed as a reference in the
Ryerson Index. Not very often, but sometimes they are there. I am an
indexer.
