Hail fellow seekers of family truth,

My grandfather, Rupert Frederic PALLOT, was born out of wedlock in 1894
to Ada Jane Pallot. His father was not recorded. He never knew his
mother as she married and moved away from the district in 1896 and
passed away in 1903.

He was raised by his grandparents and always told people (including his
only surviving child, my father) that he was adopted.

During the 1930's, he moved to Sydney and adopted the surname of Palmer.

Up to this point, all this tale is provable fact - now begins the
rumour-mongering.

I am seeking ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER, no matter how scanty or
seemingly insignificant, about any persons by the name of Palmer in
Yarrawongah/Mulwala/Corowa/Rutherglen/Cobram and related areas of NE
Victoria and southern NSW during or near the period of 1890-1900.

I know this is a BIG !!!! ask but it is just about my last hope. I
have tried Vic and NSW BMD indices, electoral rolls and post office
directories (such as I can locate n local and State libraries).

Thank you for reading my diatribe and I hope you can help
Greg Palmer
