Subject: MONARO WEBSITE
Date: Wed, 4 Dec 2002 21:31:18 +1000

I have recently started on the development of a site about the Monaro. I am maintaining this site on behalf of all those that have a passion for any aspect of the history of the Monaro. The site is dedicated firstly; to all the Pioneers of the Monaro, the wonderful little corner of Australia where my family first settled in the 1840's and where I grew up; and secondly; to all those researchers who have gone before us and put together the wealth of material that is already available. I hope that this will become the home site for The Cooma Historical Society and Monaro Family history Group.

It is my vision that this site will quickly evolve into a very important reference for people researching any aspect of this region. Obviously I can't do all this research on my own and for this vision to come to fruition I will need the help of hundreds of fellow researchers. So please contribute anything you have about your family or about the Monaro. I accept text or photographic material in most formats. If you have an established web site on your family or any relevant aspects of Australian History, we would be very keen to link to your material.

At present the URL for the site is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mould/monaro/index.htm
I hope once the site is further establish that the Cooma Monaro Shire Council will host it.

If your family information is not included at this site please submit it. I am happy to put up a WebPages for you.
Regards
Pattrick Mould.
