Hi Angela

I use Marilyn Rowan as the transcription agent, can highly recommend
her. I especially like the service as far as I know they are the only
ones who send them in email, hence they arrive faster AND you can cut
and paste from the data and hence not make typos. But enough of that
to other things.

I have some more info for you....

From Monumental Inscriptions in the Bega Valley Shire - Book 1 - by
Bega Valley Genealogy Soc Inc 1989.

Section A, Methodist Row 5, grave 70. ROOD, Hubert "Bert" Henry Rood,
husband, father & pa, born 5 Jan 1904 died 2 Jan 1975.

Section F, Salvation Army Row 1

grave 923 ROOD Ronald Thomas Rood, husband & father, died 12 March
1969, aged 54 years.

grave 925 ROOD Robert William Rood, died 8 Oct 1956, aged 82 years;
also Eliza Rood, doed 2 Feb 1965, aged 87 years; also Mary Eliza,
their daughter, died 22 June 1930 aged 30 years.

grave 926 ROOD Clifton Edward H Rood, died 2 July 1974, aged 66
years.

grave 1881 ROOD Sidney Rood, died 14 Feb 1938, aged 53 years.

ROOD Sol Rood, died 19 Jan 1965, aged 62 years; also Amy Rood died 6
Jan 1982, aged 88 years.

There are no main entries for the ROOD family in the Bega Valley
Pioneer Register pub 2002. Just one entry of Vera LL ROOD marrying in
1925 Arthur E WARREN, which is in the bdm's and no parents are given.

Hope this helps.

One good contact place is the Museum in Bega, if you tell them you
already have info from book 1 of the monumental inscriptions it will
save them some time - and they might find more in the other
volumes... Good Luck
