Thought I'd share this will you all.

THE HALF HOLIDAY CRICKET CLUB
(By F.J.M. in Shoalhaven Telegraph 27/4/1910)

Now Ben Walsh is the skipper
Stan Monaghan the mate,
And little Lorrie is the lad
To glance and cut 'em late;
Also you've Dunny Kohler,
who can hit a six or two,
Besides a tip-top bowler
And old Parkie gets a few.
A. Leathearn is a batsman
So very tall and slim,
Just keep your eyes on barber Tom,
Who keeps the lads in trim.
And trouble Loomes in sight
When Johnnie takes the ball.
Fred Madden keeps the wickets,
But he likes to see 'em fall.
And then you have a few
improving day by day;
For instance, Bertie Rauch,
Charlie Wills, Mister Bray,
Though I don't suppose there's one
Will be a cricketer of fame,
If you take them one and all
You will find they play the game.
