TUESDAY JUNE 19.
(Before the P.M., and Messrs. H. McKENNA, and John MONAGHAN, L.M.'s)
Henry SMITH applied for renewal of license of the Commercial Hotel, Berry.
Mr. TRENCH for applicant, who deposed he held the premises under lease at a rental of £200 per annum; he bought the lease and business from Mr. JUDE, the lease having six years to run; the value of the furniture, horse and sulky, etc., was fixed at £860, and the stock in trade at £300; he produced the municipal assessment of the property (£162); since he had taken the property the population had materially decreased; under present conditions he would not like to pay any more rent for the property than now.
Application granted; license fee fixed at £35.
