Dear Bev,
For people currently living have you tried the Electoral Roll.
At you local electoral office there is an electronic screen to show
currently registered people over 18, alphabetical, for the whole state. For
interstate we have to go to Sydney Head Office, and I suppose you have one
of them there in Hobart.
Have you tried going back further, and looking at the NSW Probate Index?
Often from wills there is information on family, and I find the files
interesting, especially back in the days of Death Duty where everything had
to be valued.
Sincerely,Bill
