Hello Jenny
Percy is ours
In 1868 Percy and his wife Hannah Maria were mid way in their childbearing
years with child no. 6 of 9 born in January 1868. With a tribe of 6 kids
under 8 years of age some HELP would have been appreciated by Hannah.
Maybe the 6 kids wore Louisa away to nothing so she dissappeared for a
while??? ( :)
What can I tell you about the family Louisa went to?
Percy was an army brat and came to oz as a 2 yr old - his father was
Captain of the 50th regiment of Foot
his family spent time in Norfolk Island as well as the south coast where
William Sheaffe was supervising road gangs etc. Hannah was the daughter of a
well regarded merchant marine Captain who explored unknown waters on the
Australian north and west coast in the normal course of his work day in the
1810's and 1820's
Regards
Glynis

>>From the Randwick Asylum for Destitute Children - Registers of Inmates
>>June 1852-1915 (7/3796 SRNSW reel 1865) I have the following information:
