I am searching for any relatives descended from THOMAS BIRCH who
emigrated from England in 1884. He married Maud Mary Bryant in Newtown
in 1894 and they had three children, of whom I have records - there may
have been more. Stanley Charles Edward, b 1896 Newtown, died 1954 in
Marrickville. He married Elsie L White in 1932 in Marrickville. Rupert
Walter Thomas, b 1900 in Newtown, died 1963 in Marrickville. He married
Rosanna C Young in 1929, in Marrickville. Margaret Ethel, b 1906 in
Newtown, died 1973 in Ballina. She married, 1, Joseph Divola in
Marrickville in 1943 and 2, Robert Hugh Sharpe in Burwood in 1952.

Thomas, also known as Thomas Edward Rupert, was born in Cheshire,
England in 1865. His father was James Birch who was born in
Staffordshire, the area from which a large Birch family derived.

Any help in tracing possible descendants will be greatly appreciated. I
am a direct descendant of this Birch family and have record going back
to the mid-1700's which I shall be happy to share with other interested
parties.
