Hi Christine,
I know the birth is out by four years but this is what I
found. A Sarah Wood birth in 1806 on the old pioneer microfiche her mother's
name was Mary no father mentioned. I looked on the reels for this entry but
it only listed her as Sarah Crew Wood a child 31st Oct that is all I found
on the reels.
There was another Sarah listed on the microfiche 1806 entry number (1656)
volume (1) mother Mary. Could be the same as above. I didn't have a chance
to look at this reel. There were two other children to a mother Mary
Mary Wood 1807
Susannah Wood 1811

I could not find the Sarah Wood you found in the 1828 census. The only
reference was a Wood no christian name 24 years B/C Protestant Snow Hill
Sutton Forest Farmer. This one sounds more like it would be a boy.
I have the book and the only other one I have is Sarah Wood 23 GS "Harmony"
1827 L P Servant to the Rev. F. Wilkinson Newcastle. I even looked on the
1828 CD and could not find the Sarah Wood born in the colony, let me know
the version of 1828 you read it from if you don't mind.
Sorry could not help any further.
Cheers,
Barbara

was born in the Colony. Her age was given as 26, that would have her being
born in 1802.
