A few thoughts:

Try searching in BDM NSW for death of Woodford no christian name with the
names of her parents in case her name was misspelt in a way you havn't
tried.

have you looked for her death in Vic Records?

The birth record of the last child may have clues if her mum died before she
was recorded. A transcription agent is a cheaper alternative to purchasing
certificates.

maybe a cemetery record of her exists in Broken Hill.

Is it possible to find Charles' Will or deceased estate records. Maybe he
gives clues about her in them.
Did they divorce?
NSW State Archives
http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/archives/the_state_archives_945.asp
are the place to look for these. They have a number of indexes online
There are people who will look for you for a fee and maybe a kind soul who
is going there could have a quick look for a particular item you have
identified from the idexes.
I also am remote from Sydney and have a list a mile long of things to check
out at NSW records one day.

Good luck
Glynis
