Hi everyone

Hope your having better luck than I am. It's all Buckley's at the
moment.
I couldn't even manage a place bet in the Melbourne Cup.

I posted a message a few weeks back requesting assistance in tracing
two sisters Ursula and Ella TURNER who arrived in Australia between
1922 - 1932 on the SS BENDIGO. The information I had at the time from
an elderly cousin (83), was that he thought they settled in SA and one
of
the sisters married a man called M(A)CMILLAN.The other sister remained
single. Imagine my surprise when I spoke to him today and he said that
one of the sisters had married a man called M(A)CNAUGHTON. It's quite
easy I suppose to get confused about names beginning with MAC------
particularly at his age and considering it happened so long ago.

I would be most grateful if anyone is researching M(A)CNAUGHTON
and has links to Ella or Ursula TURNER, born at Hamsterley Colliery
Co.Durham, England between 1899 - 1903. Their parents names were John
Thomas TURNER and Mary TURNER (n WARDELL).

By the way, if anyone is researching M(A)CMILLAN marriages between
1920 and 1945 in NSW I have downloaded them from the NSW Register
of births, marriages and deaths website.

Goodnight from a chilly -2C Co. Durham,(colder than the beer).

Donald Morrison. (Fishburn, Co Durham)
