Could some Kind person do a lookup of the 1841-1842 Census for my Kennedy
families

Descendants of Edward KENNEDY


Generation No. 1

1. Edward2 KENNEDY (KENNEDY1) was born in Ireland. He married Maria
MILLER Bet. 1825 - 1833 in Dublin, Ireland, daughter of Thomas MILLER and
Kate WILSON. She was born Bet. 1790 - 1798 in County Longford, West Meath,
Ireland, and died September 27, 1888 in 11 Erskine St, Sydney, New South
Wales, Australia.

Notes for Edward KENNEDY:
BRICK WALL: Can not find a death of Edward KENNEDY or when he arrived in
Australia
With the death of Maria KENNEDY in 1888 her life span in the NSW, Australia,
50 years, would make it 1838 arriving in Australia, her death certificate
indicates a married woman, could this be an error, or may be Edward was
still living ? my Great Grandfather Thomas KENNEDY was born 1842 in Sydney .

There is a Edward KENNEDY soldier, and wife and children in Steerage on the
Wellington arriving 7 Sept 1832 (this could be my Edward but not Sure?)

On his daughter Kate Van Wessem certificate of death, gives her father's
occupation as Architect

about 1838 when arrived in Sydney. children's ages on certificate of death
Ann( Boyne) 54 years, John 52, Kate( Van Wessen) 51, Maria (Murray) 50 living
2 Children Deceased Place of death, 11 Erskine Street, informant Wm Boyne
Son Inlaw News Agent, 11 Erskine Street

Grave No. 433 section C. C ( inscription on the grave Our Dear Mother Maria
Kennedy aged 95 Years also Kate Van Wessem daughter of above died 25
December 1912 aged 73 years

( Thomas Kennedy, son of Maria and Edward born 1842 Sydney not mentioned on
mothers death certificate , family must have lost communication with Thomas
and assumed him deceased ?, Thomas was living around Brisbane Waters,
Mandolong, New South Wales, Australia 1879 when his son William Gordon
Kennedy was born.
Thomas had moved his family to Kempsey by 1881 when daughter Annie( Alice?)
Irene KENNEDY was born and he died in Lismore 7 Jan 1929.

On son, Thomas Kennedy's death certificate , parents are listed as unknown,
could there have been a split in the family and Thomas never spoke of his
parents ???

BRICK WALL: unknown who this son might be but two children mentioned as
being deaceased on mothers death certificate.
On marriage certificate of Thomas KENNEDY to Charlotte Frost the witnesses
are William KENNEDY and Margaret Frost her mark X could this be the son
thought to be deceased also ??

married MURRAY.

ANOTHER BRICK WALL: Unknown if Marriage to unknown MURRAY was in New South
Wales, no clue to her other than being mentioned on her mothers death
certiifacte as being of age 50 in 1888
