There is quite a bit available about the hulk, Phoenix. Far too much to copy
here - but go to the State Records of NSW site at:
http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/default.htm

then - go to Search This Site on the left hand side

then - type in Phoenix

Hi once again,

Is anyone a where of records for the hulk in Sydney harbour for 1837 to
1840. I believe the name of the hulk was the Phoenix. Or were there
others? Have a Henry Hunt who spent time there cooling his heels till
he was sent to Norfolk Island.
