Hi All,

William STUBBS and his wife Sarah nee WINGATE arrived as free settlers
on the 'Coromandel' in 1802.

After a short time at Toongabbie they were granted 100 acres on the
Hawkesbury River downstream from Ebenezer. William lost his life in the
Hawkesbury River 29 May 1805 when the dug-out canoe he and his convict
servant were paddling overturned. William told the servant to hold onto
the canoe while he swam to shore. Although he could swim, he became
entangled in the weeds and drowned.

Their children were: William, Sarah Mary, Elizabeth and Keturah.

Surnames of their spouses were: Rogers, Woods (Yarwood), Chaseling,
Sullivan and Everingham.

Regards,
Coralie
