Hi Maureen

I too am descended from this couple (via their son David) and have yet to do much on
them. I have thought about visiting the first fleet fellowship library to see what others
have done - but have yet to do so - I have been working on other lines up till now.

Have you ever been to your local First Fleet Fellowship group??? I found out about the
Sydney one through SAG.

Also have you seen John Cross's signature? The Uni of Wollongong have a First fleet
database with some info, including a scan of his sig;

There is also some info here to fill in a bit more background....

http://www.bps.sa.edu.au/year9/earlyhistory/ffleet.htm

My records have two sources for a marriage year for this couple 1793.
One the IGI index the other Peter Pidgeon.

I am sure if you emailed Peter he could give you his source for this
info.

Though I wonder if the IGI is his source and that it is just someones guess as to the year
based on the first birth.

Nick Hollingowrth has also done a lot of research have you seen his rootsweb info?

Good luck - let me know if you want to share info on our lines...
