I'd love to put my hand up but I have never been able to prove the link
between Rachael Hoddy's grandson Richard Watson, who was born in VDL in 1827
and disappeared from the face of the earth around 1840, and my 2nd Great
Grandfather Richard Watson who was married in Sydney in 1844. I don't know
that the link will ever be proved. Others much more skilled than I have
tried for years :-(
But I will watch for news of the documentary with great interest and wish
all who participate the very best.

I have been contacted by the Associate Producer of a documentary, which is
very
soon to be made, based on the book "The Floating Brothel" by Sian Rees. She
would like me to put her in contact with those of you who are directly
descended
from the Lady Juliana convicts who arrived into Port Jackson in June 1790.


Shortly after arriving in Port Jackson the majority of these convicts were
taken
to Norfolk Island and when that was closed, some were sent to Van Diemen's
Land
whilst others returned to PJ. It is not important at this stage that you
know
their history in any depth because part of your discovery of facts and
historical context could possibly become part of the film.


She would also like to know if anyone knows of the descendants of some of
the
key male witnesses of the time including;

1) John Nicol, mariner
2) Surgeon Richard Alley/Ally
3) Governor Arthur Philip


If you are directly related to any of the convicts, could you please email
me
privately with the name or names of your convict/s, your name, email
address,
phone number and location.
