What is the book? What period is it written about?

I have stacks of Catholics in my background in NSW from Ireland, Scotland
and Germany.

The Galvins (James & Mary from Ennis Co Clare to Sydney in 1850) and then to
the Hunter Valley, with Michael (my g grandfather), Patrick and Mary. James
and Michael were farmers. Their son, Daniel, my grandfather was a
miner/mine manager.

Heinrich and Catherine(a) Bouffier from Nassau now Germany to Morpeth in
1849. They were involved in helping establish the wine industry in the HV.

Patrick Smith from Blackwater Bridge in Co Cavan Irl in 1840 sponsored by
William Rutledge (King Billy) who came from the same area in Ireland.
Patrick was one of my
g grandfathers. He was a carrier in the Cessnock area. Patrick might have
been on the local supervisory committe for a "National School" for the
Cessnock/Polkobin area in the 1860s. The committee had a Cof E rep, 5
Catholic members including Patrick and 3 EC members.

John and Mary Smith from Ardnamurchan in Inverness Scotland with their
children Lachlan, Hugh, Roderick, George, Mary (who married the Irish
Patrick Smith) and Margaret. Mary ended up in the Hunter Valley but I
don't know whether the whole family did or not.

Wld love to hear more about the book and whether any of the above are
mentioned.
