Despite many of these records showing very little, I'd
like to add that you should never discount the little
bits of vital information some of these early Baptism,
Marriage and Death records sometimes hold.

One Baptism certificate I have does include the actual
date of birth.

A particularly useful Burial certificate I sent away
for shows the name of the ship my ancestor arrived on
and place in England where he came from even though he
was an assisted immigrant. This was extremely helpful
as I had been unable to find his immigration details.
His surname had been spelt quite differently on the
shipping list. Without finding this reference on the
burial certificate I would probably STILL be looking
for him.

You never know what little 'gems' these early records
might contain.
