Hi,

I'm hoping that someone may be able to lead me in the right direction with
my enquiry. I'm trying to locate the name of a store owner of a Newsagency
that was located at 576 Logan Road Greenslopes Brisbane between 1944 - 1947.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Listers

Thank you all so much for your help in locating Emperor St in
Stephen. A special thank you (don't feel overlooked all the other
helpers) to Kerry who found an Annie McLeod living in Emperor St
Steven. Now who would have believed it. My great-aunt Maggie
McLeod's sister in-law was named Annie McLeod and she lived in
Briisbane. However Annie's husband Angus Norman McLeod should have
been alive at that time. I was a bit puzzled by her occupation being
given as a saleswoman as the family (as I know it) was not poor. But
there were other storeowners on the McLeod and the Logan families.

So thanks again to everyone. Now if you only find me some Logans.
Not the descendants of the army tyrant Captain Logan, but of my
ggrandfather Captain Logan, storekeeper of Tumbulgum. How I wish I
had started this search 60 years ago when many of these people were
still alive.
