Dear Daph, Debbie and Listers,
Daph when I read your posting you would of thought I'd won gold lotto! I
was thrilled! firstly thought I would let you know that Philip Conrad
Berghofer was wounded in action on 26th sept, 1917 and died in hospital
with gun shot wounds on 30th sept, 1917 and is actually buried in the Ypres
Reservoir Cemetary,Ieper,West-Vlaanderen,Belguim, Plot no:1.H.14. Secondly
I have a thousand questions to ask but will try not to overwehlm you all at
once. Would love to know exactly how Berghofers and Heiner families
connect? Also the Conrad Berghofer (Jnr) who contributed to the building
fund is he connected in any way to my Berghofers?
Debbie - You mentioned the book 'A Deserving Class of People' I would love
also to read this book, I live 15mins from Caboolture did you say a
Society in Caboolture holds a copy?
