Greetings from Germany. I'm new to this list.

I'm preparing a report on emigrants from my home town Tating (about 40 kms
west of Husum on the Eiderstedt peninsula), Schleswig-Holstein, Germany,
for the 2000 issue of the annual publication of the Tating local historical
society. By now I've found 60 families that emigrated, two of them to
Australia. I would like to find out more about them and their descendants.
Here is what I have:

Maria Beata AHRENS, born 4 Dec 1823 Tating, daughter of Andreas Ahrens and
Catharina Elisabeth Blohm, emigrated to Australia before 1855, in January
1855 still not married.

Peter Andreas KRUSE, born 22 June 1829 Tating, son of Andreas Kruse and
Maria Leuth, emigrated to Australia between 1850 and 1857.
