Hello all,

I have just found g.g/f John Sebastian Horn's birthplace in Eichel,
Baden-Wurttemberg. He was born on 17 NOV 1832 and arr. Australia with
fiancee Eva Betzel b. 20 AUG 1830 in Nicklashausen. Their arrival was c.
1857. There is no record of this on shipping lists. Sebastian's parents
were Thomas and Barbara (nee FERTIG) HORN, and Eva's parents were Wendel
and Rebekka (nee BETZEL) BETZEL. The couple worked as shepherds at
Pikedale Sheep Station near Stanthorpe. After Eva's death, with two chn.
John moved to Tenterfield. Any information of their arrival in Australia
would be appreciated. (I have their application to emigrate from Germany)
