Lorrae, just one question? Is there any German family to which you are not
related?

All jokes aside, I saw a few names there that appear in my database.

My Trost who settled in Fassifern area married his second wife within a few
days of the passing of wife number one. (he had small children and needed
someone to care for them I suppose). Her name was Christine Loff nee Rabe.
Daughter of Carl RABE and Marie ILISOW. Not sure about the spelling of the
ILISOW as it is somewhat smudged on the certificate that I have seen but
this is the best stab I can make at spelling the name. Johann Carl Wilhelm
TROST, brother to my GGGrandfather August, married Christine LOFF nee RABE
on 24 December 1878.

Christine died sometime before 1885.

Johann then married Augustine Friederike ROEBUCK on 15 Apr 1885. She was a
Widow . I think I found her marriage to Roebuck as I found an entry for the
marriage of Augustine Friedericke DOMRO to John Douglas ROEBUCK and I have
yet to prove the connection ;but wonder if they are connected. This is one
of the things I hope to sort out when I get to Asutralia in March.

Happy New year to you and your family.

cheers,
Beverly.
