Hi Fay

Have you been to the National Archives? You can get a copy of the
naturalisation certificate off the microfilm. Order the Naturalization
papers through the National Archives (it was free when I got mine last
year). It gives a lot of information you may not have already known. I have
my g.grandfather's and his brother's papers and it answered a few questions
that my family had. My g.grandfather was knocked back for 7 years before he
was finally naturalised and I was sent copies of everything from his
applications to his letters of NO. His brother's application didn't have the
same problems though he only had to apply once, so not as much paper work
but still useful information though.

As for your Charles' parent's, if they were naturalised they should be there
somewhere, if they aren't they may not have been naturalised to begin with.

Good luck and happy hunting
Faye
