Listers, I have been reading the posts to the board about the naturalization
etc.
If anyone is interested, the LDS did microfilm the Queensland Naturalization
applications and granting of same and the film number is 0910208.

I was able to glean the naturalization of my GGGrandfather and his brother
and also one female member of the family as well.

It should be noted here that the book of records was around 100 yrs old when
the LDS microfilmed it. The book was in sad shape to say the least. Some
pages are excellently kept and easy to read. Others are somewhat smudged -
probably due to mildew on the page while others are more than partially
obliterated and unreadable.

As in all genealogical pursuits, we win some and we lose some. Some people
may be lucky, like myself, and glean the information they seek while others
may not be able to pin down even one piece of information.

However, the LDS did microfilm the Queensland applications and granting of
citizenship and for what it is worth to rent it, it is a look into the past
and a contact with those who were pioneers in our land. Be sure to look
through the whole film as I did find some duplicates there.
