Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your e-mail. I am sorry I have taken so long to reply but
life has been hectic since my last communication. I was guest speaker at
the Nepean FHS a couple of weeks ago and since then we have all been busy
with preparations for the Society of Australian Genealogists (SAG) annual
Showcase. The German Interest Group always has a stand at this event so I
havn't had time for my personal correspondance.

On the matter of Robert's book "A Colonial Father, the story of Johann
Christian Heussler", ISBN 1 74018 164 6. The book cost is $65 plus postage
depending on the destination within Australia. Robert is not on the
Internet, only takes cheques and you can contact him at P O Box 169,
Artarmon, NSW 1570.

For the convenience of the Brisbane folk, Robert has deposited his book at
the following locations in Queensland, for those who may just wish to read
his book.

Genealogical Society of Queensland.

Queensland Family History Society.

Royal Historical Society of Queensland.

Local Studies Library, Southport, Queensland.

Albert & Gold Coast Genealogical Society, Queensland.

Also with, Rosemary & Eric Kopittke, QFHS.

Margaret Jenner, Greenslopes, Queensland.

And for Victorians, at:

The Wendish Family History Group in Victoria. (I am not sure of this address).

The publication is soft cover, has 390 pages and is quite heavy. There are
32 illustrations, author's preface, introduction and acknowledgements. It
is fully referenced. An Epilogue and Tables are listed at the end, no index.

For those who are unable to purchase the book, might I suggest that you
lobby your local Family History Society or local Council Library to
purchase it for their Family History Studies Group. All Archives, Societies
and Libraries have an annual budget for such purchases.

Please contact Robert for further inquiries as I do not have any connection
with the marketing of this publication.

All researchers visiting the German Interest Group stand at Showcase were
informed about the latest goodies available for their German research.
(Robert's book was on display on our GIG stand as well as on the
publisher's "Fast Books" stand).

Cheers & happy reading,

Elizabeth Allum

PS. Andrew, Robert's father is still alive, in his 90s and his great uncle
has turned 100 wonderful family! E.
