Is there a book I can read or can anyone answer these questions.
1. What happened when the migrants arrived in Brisbane and Maryborough, where were they accommodated, and what assistance was offered etc?
2. Did they have any choice where they wanted to settle?

I would love the time to read all the old newspapers to hopefully find these answer myself but at the moment that is out of the question, so I hope there is some publication somebody can suggest for me to read.
