Jim and list,
About a week ago I received an infected email with the subject line
"Markham, Pelling, Tranby" and it appeared to have been sent by Jim
Crighton.
My computer had previously been infected with the Bad Trans Virus by a
similar email sent from someone else on the list.

After much trial and tribulation, I managed to remove the virus but the
experience had been so traumatic to me that I have since then refused to
open any attachments with or without the pop up screen warning me of the
presence of a virus.

In the case of the email supposedly sent by Jim to my computer, the pop up
screen informed me that it was unsafe to open the email. In an effort to
contact Jim I put a note on the list to him.

I apologise to him for any inconvenience it may have caused him.

This virus problem has been the cause of much anxiety on the part of many
people on the list. Since not all of us are computer literate enough to
deal with every problem that arises, may I urge the folks on this list to go
to the site mentioned by Warren a couple of days ago which will help us all
understand how this virus works. The information there may also help
unruffle a few feathers.
