I saw the posting on the Newsgroup recently concerning enquiry re
Wieland / s Family in SE Qld.

I also have 16 people named “Wieland” mentioned in connection
with my Families. None of mine also have an “s” on the end.
However, as we know, spelling was so interchangable, that it would
almost certainly be the same family.

The Wieland people I am interested in ,span a time period from the
oldest one who was born in Prenzlau Germany circa 1830 named
Christian Wieland. He married in Franke, Prenzlau Germany to
Christine Schmidt circa 1850 . They had at least 3 children I know
of , one of which was Wilhelmine ( Minnie) born in Germany in
1854. She married , also in Germany to Augustus F.W. Stenzel,
who was born in 1848.

The other end of the scale is a Amanda Grace Wieland born in
1983, a daughter of Denis Colin Wieland and Valerie Beryl Turner.

I would be interested to swap information with anyone who is also
researching this family.
