Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to Texas, Marie. I don't think they've had a lot of rain down that way, so perhaps the area wasn't looking as good as it could ... Re. the accommodation situation: I'm not sure if it's still operating but, perhaps for future reference, Mrs Jeanne Upjohn used to run a nice B&B, the "Yellow Rose Guest House", in High Street. Ph. (07) 4653 1592 (Mrs Upjohn is the author of several books, inc. "The Tobacco Growers of Southern Queensland - Yelarbon, Inglewood, Ashford and Texas", as well as the co-author, along with Dr Shane Sondergeld, of "Dumaresq Doctors". As far as I know, these books are available for purchase from the local Post Office.)
