Seem to be going round in ever decreasing circles....I am searching for the records of early years in the life of a Frederick Edward Pontee MM ( the last of the Pontee's male bloodline in Australia).
He was born in Brisbane 1896 to Wilhelmina Pontee who gave him away as a baby. She married John Tapsall 1902 and they had 12 other children.

The only information that I have is the date of birth (1896), a twenty year blank, enlistment to A.I.F.(1916), along blank, burial at Lutwyche Cemetery Repatriation Dept. (1949). He lived for 53 years but have only information about 3 years in WW1.

On the enlistment papers the "Next of Kin " was given as Mrs. Rachael FORD of Tewantin (friend), she was also notified of his award of the Military Medal.

If any Member knows of details:-

a) to fill the blank years,
b)any contact to Mrs. FORD,
c)how a road in Alexandra Headland became PONTEE PARADE
