Caroline Katie, beloved wife of Twisden BEDFORD, from exophthalmic goite.

of Paddington, Sydney, and brother of Mrs.C.BALDWIN, of this city.
RAINE--On the 24th February, at Rio de Janeiro, R. RAINE, late of Kangaroo
Point, after a short illness from.......?. Aged 33 years.
RINALDI--On the 22nd April, accidentally drowned while attempting to cross
the Burnett River at Paradise Goldfield, Enrico RINALDI, late of Turin,
Italy, aged 27 years.
SMITH--On the 25th April, at his sons residence, Graceville, Rev. W.A.
SMITH, M.A. of Southport, formerly of Aberdeen, Scotland, aged 69.

M'EVOY--March 17, at Alexandria, Julia M'EVOY, aged 72 years.

EXOPHTHALMIC GOITE--Thyrotoxicosis--A disease affecting the thyroid gland
which causes changes in the metabolism of the bogy, such as weight loss,
raised heart rate. Other neurological manifestations may occur including
myopathy and various eye disorders. Other names may be: Graves Disease,
Basedow's Disease.
