This would most likely be the Peak Downs Goldfield. If you do a google on
this, you will find lots of info.

I have just joined the list having discovered a reference to Thomas
Henry Edward May of Teak-down Goldfields, Queensland in a notice in The
Times of September 5 1864. Thomas has a connection to my May/Berncastel
ancestors.

Can anyone tell me where Teak-down Goldfields was? I have searched
Google without any success. Does anyone have a connection to Thomas
Henry Edward May?
