I am looking to tie up a loose end with my Mayfield Line...
Herbert Alfred James Mayfield was born 15.4.1917..to Alfred Mayfield and
Annie Marie Howe
His father and mother were married just prior to Alfred embarking for WWI
duty overseas
Alfred was killed in France, 1 September 1918.
I am trying to find what happened to Herbert...but haven't had any luck so
far..
Perhaps Annie Maree Mayfield (nee Howe) also married..???
Was Herbert's his name changed to that of his stepfather, if any..
Did Herbert Mayfield marry, and if so, ..what date and to whom...
Did they have any children?

It would be nice to catch up with any of his descendants, and introduce them
to the rest of their ancestors...
