Thank Janet, for the correction to the ship for John George & James
Davenport arrival in Oz.
Have now found that the 'Palambam' was a convict ship that carried 112
female convicts.

We believe that John George went to Launceston to learn about boat
building
and what we are looking to find is how he got to Maryborough.

There is a story that it was on the ship Golden South but I don't know
where
to look to find about this ship.

Perhaps a posting on the may help
me

Regards
Meg
