Hi Allan,
Wirreanda was a "Run" set up by B BOOTH in 1851, located in the Hawker District (Lease No. 82). The Hundred of Wirreanda was proclaimed on 18th January, 1877.
The town of Gordon (40km NE of Quorn) was proclaimed on 2nd October 1879, named thus by the then Govenor JERVOIS, after his brother, Gordon JERVOIS.
Nothing remains of it today, and it is located close to the old Kanyaka Homestead ruins (within about 5 km).
Confusingly, the railway station, conceived before the town, was called Wirreanda
Regards, John
