Also my brickwall.
My grandfather WILLIAM EDWIN FRANCIS b: c1876 ENGLAND (God knows where)
his parents were JOHN & ELIZABETH CLARKE both deceased in ENGLAND (God knows
where)
He married an Adelaide girl CATHERINE CECELIA LEONARD b: 1877 in Adelaide
the marriage took place in PERTH WA. 1898 (certificate held)
He is thought to have worked with the Railways at that time.
It seems they returned to Adelaide for the birth of each of their children ?
purpose.
On the 3rd. APR. 1905 my father WILLIAM THOMAS FRANCIS was born at
Queens Home, Rose Park ADELAIDE at this time his father gave his occupation
as LABOURER - PINNAROO, TAILEM BEND
As children we held old pop Ted in absolute awe considering him to be a
combination
of Sinbad the Sailor & J.C. himself.
It is said he 'JUMPED SHIP" no evidence of this.
I have absolutely no idea when he arrived in this country

I am told TAILEM BEND is/was a major railways centre, would there be a
Historical Society
associated with this area.

Of course I don't even know if the listed name is absolutely correct.

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
