Greetings all, from Di Cummings of Melbourne

I've just prepared new webpages of the Beaglehole tree (as shown at the reunion) and 'launched them'. Visit http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dicummings/BeagleholeTree-short.htm

I am currently working through the ELLIS/MICHELL/JOHNS/BEAGLEHOLE circle - the main link is the Ellis family. I am hoping listers can help me identify Margaret, the wife of Edward.

My reply: The Rates and the Electoral Roll, and of course the local phonebook. Start from when you know they were there (wherever) and progress forward.

In the meantime my daughter Jenny has told us she'll be here everyday during her fortnight's holiday - making us sort/tidy and clearout our accumulated bits and pieces. I know what that means. No computer for two weeks, feed her, and drive her home each night. Still I cannot complain. It really needs to be done. We brought home lots of stuff when Ken's mum moved into a hostel a couple of years ago. Imagine four 2ft high piles of bath towels (all in good condition). Some we'll keep (obviously). Some we remember using whilst staying with her. Some we remember Ken's Dad using (he died in 1980). Some were wedding presents (we married in 1968). I think you get the picture.

I must away - busy people fit soooo much into a day, especially when the day stretches into 28 hours (bedtime is often 3am, and up round 9am). Yes my family frown on the time this activity takes but I just have to do it.
Cheers from Di Cummings of Melbourne
