Dear folks,
After recently landscaping we discovered several bottles that had been
buried in our backyard at Largs Bay.
The first bottle being a ceramic ginger beer bottle with J. Ladd's Mineral
Water, JL Factory Adelaide Port and Gawler printed on the front, the second
bottle being a long neck bottle with The Adelaide Bottle Co-operative
Company Limited, Pickaxe Brand, Trade Mark Recd.
Although this topic is not really genealogy, I am very curious as to the
history of these bottles and the history of J Ladd's and The Adelaide Bottle
Co-op. If anyone has any knowledge of these two companies or would know the
era of these bottles - I would be very grateful in knowing.
Thanks,
Sandy
