Thank you Mari. It is certainly possible, and I
will now be seeking more precise information from
the Clare area. I had not done so before as the
reference falls into a time gap between when the
family was known to be in Burra, and when they
were known to be in the Clare area. There are also
undated references to Orroroo, Terowie, Moockra
and Yunta, so I was hoping someone knew of
Cootelary to help me place these references.

Clare is now looking increasingly likely, so I
will have to concentrate in that area for a while.

I may be a bit late with this comment, but could
the name be a very old one
in the Clare area, like Armagh. Have you tried the
Clare Council or perhaps
there is a Clare Historical Society.
