In 1839 My G.G.Grandfather was granted land in South Australia. He never
came to Australia himself but sent close friends and a son out to develop
the property. I do not know if he had to pay any money but there is no
mention of this in the copy of the original Land Grant that I was able to
get from the S.A. lands dept.
