Hi Rhonda and Listers,

I think the re-typing would be an option...

IF the typist is ACCURATE (not my strong suit), and where there is only a
single lookup or two.
Often though lookups are requested for a couple, and their children, their
children's marriages and any births to those children. (I like if time
allows to follow through with whatever other info I can find.) In this
instance a LOT of time would be taken up re-typing, with room for error, and
perhaps at the expense of other lookups. There is never enough time to go
around in this life.

I am more than happy to do lookups, a job I really enjoy. I'm also happy to
pass the information on to anybody else that makes a request. Some listers
will know that I have sometimes found possible connections when doing other
'names' and have passed that on to whoever else was interested in that name,
if I can remember who was involved with that name. Sometimes memory fails!

I am thinking though that this discussion is more about the sharing of
information than the actual method of passing that information. This list
has always struck me as a very helpful and friendly, and the comments re
requests being ignored really surprises me. I am not denying it happens,
but I have never experienced it, nor, even heard of it happening up until
now. I am wondering if these requests were made 'on list"...

That's enough thinking for now.
Steph.
