Greetings all, Trevor and Jill Riches wrote about Francis Frederick Hutton, who came out to SA on the Sibella (arriving Feb 1850). On the passenger list on the Convictions website it says next to his name "signed letter of appreciation by the cabin passengers". I have noticed this before and wondered if anyone was aware of the purpose etc.

A typical example is illustrated at the following website:

CANTON 1838 arriving Adelaide on May 2nd, 1838

Thanks for the offers of help regarding the listing of the JURY family in the English Census. I'll not be needing help on this until after Christmas (we all deserve a break) but once the rush etc is over, I'm more likely to have a clearer picture of what I need.

Appreciating that time is money (re connection by some listers to the internet), could any listers who have access to any of the English Census in their own homes, please email me privately asap.

Cheers from Di Cummings of Melbourne
