Hello everyone :)
There was a lady on the Sussex mailing list who told everyone she had come
across a parish baptism record where the parents had wanted to call their
child Apples and Oranges!! I wish I could find that email to forward on,
but apparently the Vicar managed to talk them out of it and they settled for
Orange or Oranges somewhere in their childs name :)

It could be worse - someone out there is going to do the family tree of the
infamous Frank Zappa one day - and what are they going to think of the name
Moon Unit? What about the bloke who gave his kid a number for a name - at
least it would be easy to track.



I gave my kids what were thought to be "odd" names at the time of their
births, but then found it fairly common. When asked what I named my son
after, I jokingly told whomever would ask that I named him after a car.
Some years later, when my son was playing basketball, there was a child on
an opposing team with the same first name as my son, but this poor kid was
named after 3 cars - Lincoln Ford Austin!
