Hello

I just wanted to announce that I am organising a family for the Australian
descendants of William & Elizabeth Skinner, 2 of their children & 3
grandsons emigrated to Sydney in the 1830’s & 1850’s. They came from
Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge areas of Kent England.

They are:
Martha Skinner & William Cole (my line)emigrated July 1838, names connected
to their children: Hopkins, McFarlane, Painter, Mulley, Griffiths, Fawcett.
William & Martha settled in the Braidwood area. Some of their
children/grandchildren moved up to the inner suburbs of Sydney, also some
moved the to Dubbo area of Western NSW.

Samuel Skinner & Martha Quinnell emigrated 1839,names connected to their
children: Wells, Sherwood, Lansley, Goodwin, Marshall, Patrick Smith b Tweed
Heads, Lasscock, Biddle. Samuel & Martha first lived in the Braidwood area,
but then settled in the Casino area via Qld.

Alfred Skinner & Jane Flower (my husbands line) emigrated 1856, names
connected to their children: Salmon, Noble, Joseph Smith b unknown, Meadows,
Ross, Anlezark, Kinkade, Mortimer, Clay. Alfred & Jane settled in the
Redfern/Waterloo are of inner Sydney, before eventually living in Auburn,
NSW.

George Skinner - emigrated 1856, married 1861 Braidwood Jane Wilson Brown,
names connected: Ashby, Prisk, Walters, Howell, Cousins, Holliday, Baker,
Hickey, Davies, Morrell. George & Jane lived in Braidwood till about 1863 as
by 1865 their 3rd child was born in South Australia, some of their children
married in Western Aust, as well.

Henry Skinner & Emily Austin emigrated 1857, to my knowledge Henry & Emily
did not have any children, when they died they were living in Auburn, NSW.

If you have any connections to any of these family, or know anyone who does,
please do drop me a line.

And of course there are sooo many other names connected to their
grandchildren etc etc, far too many to mention here.
