There must be a lot of lost Smiths floating around in NSW. I have never
found the connections for my James William SMITH who married Martha TAGG at
Sydney in 1875. He gives his birthplace variously as Seven Hills and
Parramatta, by my reckoning circa 1850. No parents mentioned on his marriage
certificate. Though there are deaths for many James William SMITHs and I
have purchased many certificates I have never found his death. He was alive
when his daughter Frances married in 1897. Gave his occupation as a
silversmith at Redfern. I would love to put him in a family.
Cheers
