Greetings list,

I am trying to trace the history of my gg grandmother Elizabeth Ann SPARKES. She married my gg grandfather Albert Arthur WICKINS in Hobart about 1872. A thread of family legend suggests that she was descended from Samuel SPARKS who was transported on the Emperor Alexander in 1834. If anyone has any details relevant to the descendants to confirm or deny this legend I would be most grateful if they could pass it on.

Francis THOW born Newmachar or Inverurie in Scotland in 1813, married in 1841 to -
Ann THOW (nee PATERSON) born Newmachar or Inverurie in Scotland in 1813 - immigrated to Tasmania 1842
