Hi Maureen and Listers

Maureen if you have an email for this lady would you please put it on the
list, as I am getting
very frustrated with some problems re a couple of our convicts. I so hate
making complaints
knowing the size of the project, but frustration is beginning to take a
toll.

My problem isn't with the library staff. Many weeks ago a lovely lass
scanned in some pages
after I'd pointed out were turned over without scanning which meant FOUR
convicts are
missing off a certain ship... the lass agreed with what I was pointing out
and promptly scanned
them and sent to the IT department but nothing has happened as yet in spite
of being told they
had agreed to add them, and later yet again being told they would go up that
week. Not a hard
job to upload corrections surely.

Disappointing when they have on the webpages everything has been
digitalised, and it is obvious
that human error has crept in, which is as we know is always understandable.
Maddening that so
many of the errors involve our particular family men and women.

It is frustrating as some wonderful people in England helped me identify
this particular chap
and are anxious to read his VDL/Tasmanian info - it is getting embarrassing
to have to tell them
it still hasn't been done after all this time. But for them I would never
have known my ancestor
returned to England for a short time with his family, but must have
preferred Tasmania as they
all returned except for the little mites that were born and died in England,
with another who
survived that is not identified in Tasmania - as it would only be us older
family members who
remember who they are. I have several in that vein unfortunately. My
ancestress from that family
was born in VDL and is easily identifiable thank goodness, as is another
sister but I had no
knowledge that they had been taken to England at a young age.

Many thanks
Wendy Brown [Central Queensland with no hope of ever popping into Hobart
!!]
