I am inquiring into any information on Jane Anne BROWN, there seems to be no
record of her birth in the Tasmanian archives, although she was christened
in 1828 in Launceston, Tasmania. Her father was John BROWN, a carpenter
while her mother is unknown.

At the age of 17 she married James Richard FRY, ON 30 April 1845 at Christ
Church, Longford, Tasmania. James came to Tasmania in the brig on the
Persian on 7 November 1830. He received his ticket of leave in November
1836, his conditional pardon on 12 April 1841 and his certificate of freedom
on 8 July 1847. He had no offences recorded on his conduct sheet while a
prisoner.

They left Tasmania in 1848, to Victoria. Is anyone else researching this
family, would love to share info.

Kind regards
Sharon
